Attunity's new UK managing director, Richard Branch, is embarking on a channel cull to root out non-performing partners.
Branch joined the data connectivity vendor six weeks ago, and has been working his way through Attunity's list of partners to establish which ones are active.
"Attunity has about 25 partners signed up in the UK, but what I'm striving to find out is how many of these are actually active. Some firms sign what I call paper partnerships," he said.
"I will then be able to work out which strategic areas we need to reinforce with new partners."
Theo Fourie, area director northern Europe for Attachmate, one of Attunity's UK partners, told CRN: "Attunity's products enable us to get information out of data sources in mainframes that historically we would have found hard to get at. Its products complement our connectivity offerings."
Attunity's other UK partners include Ascential, Oracle and IDX.
