Accton Technology is so in love with networking that it has called its 10Base-T Ethernet hub Venus.
Span, the networking supplier which sells the product, has fallen for Venus' alluring five RJ45 ports which connect to PCs, and its Uplink port which allows the hubs to be cascaded to create larger network environments. The 10Base-T Ethernet hub provides autopartition and polarity correction.
If wiring errors occur, the autopartition facility isolates the faulty node and protects the remaining nodes from corrupt data.
The product is priced at u65. The Venus hub should be faithful as it comes with a lifetime guarantee. Contact: 01494 440500.
