Samsung has added three heads to its Mobile Computing Division in the UK around sales, distribution and product marketing functions.
Annika Fagerstrom joins Samsung as head of notebook distribution from HP, where she was partner business manager PSG. She has also worked for SCH Group, Compaq and Epson.
The Korean giant has also enlisted Katie Hawker as national account manager. She joins from Nintendo.
Meanwhile, Jason Crossingham moves over from Samsung’s semiconductor business to become head of sales and marketing, Samsung Storage products.
All three will report into Darren Matthews, general manager of Samsung’s Mobile Computing Division.
Recent iSuppli figures indicate Samsung has made strong headway in the mobile segment this year, overtaking Apple and Sony in the standings in the first quarter thanks to strong netbook sales.
Matthews said the three new hires would position Samsung for a strong end to the year in the UK.
“In the run up to Christmas, the team will focus on strengthening Samsung’s position within the mobile computing space and these appointments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to becoming market leader,” he said.
