The acquisition will allow SRM to expand its existing offering to include information assurance disciplines such as business continuity management and information security management.
Stephen Brown, managing director of SRM, said: “Despite today's challenging economic climate, we are continuing to grow steadily, with new offices now open in Tyne and Wear, an ongoing national recruitment campaign, and now this acquisition of Infosec Associates.
"The skills and experience of the consultants at Infosec are exceptional; they will not only make a great addition to our team, but will also support our continued growth by helping to extend and improve our service portfolio for our clients.”
Tom Fairfax, principal consultant from InfoSec Associates, said: “It makes good business sense for our two companies to join forces, since all of our clients will now be able to rationalise their projects by procuring related services through one service provider – and that’s the key to delivering better value for our clients.
“SRM has both managed and reduced risk for its clients with amazing success and we are delighted to be joining its highly skilled team.”
