Barcode printer vendor Zebra Technologies has seen the amount of business coming through its distribution partners rise by 20 per cent this year.
Marion Obergfell, channel marketing manager at Zebra, said: “We have seen increased levels of activity through our distributors this year – distribution sales in the UK now represent more than half of UK revenue.”
Zebra has attributed the growth to more IT VARs getting into auto ID. The vendor now has 239 UK partners in its PartnersFirst channel programme – 170 of which are tier-two resellers.
Distributor Varlink said it had recruited more than 75 of these.
Mike Pullon, managing director of Varlink, said: “Margins in the auto-ID space are better than with some traditional IT products and there is less competition.”
Automation firms UiPath and Automation Anywhere close out their funding rounds with $265m and $300m respectively
