Exact Software has received another blow to its dwindling channel after London-based Exact reseller Chain Reaction signed a deal with rival accountancy software vendor Navision.
This is the second dealer in four months to shift focus to Navision, following Exact?s inability to produce a full Windows package (PC Dealer, 2 October).
Exact claims to have as many as 15 dealers left in the UK ? down from 30 a year ago.
Nick Diamond, marketing director of Chain Reaction, said: ?This is another coup for Navision. We have recently become a Navision solution centre having previously sold Exact. The main reasons were the continued lack of a working Windows package and our lack of confidence due to Exact?s inconsistent development of a reseller channel.?
Exact GM Raj Patel denied Chain Reaction was a key reseller. Last year Exact stated it was pursuing a mixed channel policy by increasing its own focus on international sales.
