EMC has unveiled plans to unify its disparate ISV partner schemes under a single Velocity ISV programme.
Velocity ISV includes five specialties with specific resources tailored to each ISV's technical area and brings EMC's multiple ISV programs together under a single framework, which the vendor claimed would still include the "best practices from each," whilst enhancing the framework's scope and benefits.
Dave DeWalt, president of EMC Software Group, said: "This year we are expanding the Velocity umbrella to include more of our important and rapidly growing partner community, as well as adding new benefits and enhancing existing ones to continue making it easy to work with EMC.
"The Velocity ISV program will enable more and more solutions to leverage EMC's broad portfolio of information management and storage products," he said.
EMC added that the new umbrella program is designed to help partners accelerate their time-to-market, increase sales opportunities and drive their own business objectives by taking advantage of EMC's global resources.
Partners' increased commitment to one of five specialty areas will be also rewarded with increased investment from EMC in marketing and promotion, and partners that attain several specialties will receive a consistent set of resources and processes across their business.
