Distributor Maverick has been promoting a mobile-presentation package that it claims opens up fresh opportunities.
According to director of Maverick Europe Jon Sidwick, BlackBerry mobile communications and BenQ projection technology have been combined in a mobile-presentation solution.
“This package delivers the ability to wirelessly present from your BlackBerry phone, using the BlackBerry Presenter , through any projector or large format display,” Sidwick said.
BenQ’s GP1 LED projector is small but renders an image of sufficient quality for small group presentations, he added.
“This is the first move in defining a new category where the convergence of mobile communications and presentations is finally taking place,” Sidwick said.
“The Blackberry package enables users to carry around a complete presentation solution for planned or ad hoc usage.”
Maverick claims that large organisations that want to control their messaging to customers have been showing interest. Updated presentations can be emailed to users on the road via a connection to the Presenter.
“Moving forward, we will see greater brightness in more compact form factors which will expand this sector. This will not detract from standard projector sales,” Sidwick added.
