SCO and Secureware have joined forces to launch the CMW+ version 3.
The compartmented mode software provides a secure working environment which allow users to run Unix, Dos and Windows 3.1 applications in separate, secure windows on a PC.
The product is aimed at the security market. 'Security of data is an integral part of many organisations' operations,' says the sales pitch.
'Banks, hospitals, government departments and so on have to ensure information does not find its way to unauthorised individuals.'
Available as a single-user desktop and multi-user server version, CMW+ aims to remove the need for firms to have bespoke systems running on dedicated machines while the more commonly used office applications have to be accessed from other machines.
The single desktop version has a list price of u2,930, and a 1,024-user server has a list price of u12,170.
