Distributor CST Group has appointed former commercial director Paul Hayhurst as its MD, replacing long-time boss Bob Henderson.
Henderson has taken over as head of the newly-formed Lynx computer services division, which comprises the business of CST, Sphinx Level V and Lynx Technology.
Lynx computer services division becomes a major player within Lynx Group. The division has a turnover of about u75 million.
In a letter to customers, CST sales director John Arnold said that rapid growth within Lynx Group meant that a divisional management structure was needed, and that Henderson would be able to play a wider role in the running of the entire Lynx Group.
CST, which has a turnover of about u20 million, was split into four separate units towards the end of last year, covering systems, services, training and networks.
It is the sole distributor for Altos as well as being one of two top-tier IBM RS/6000 distributors. It was bought by Lynx Group in 1994.
