Distributor CDG is holding a reseller event in John Madejski’s private box at the Madejski’s Stadium in Reading.
The ‘Leap into the Future Event’ being held on 29 February will focus on new channel opportunities in virtualisation, green IT and centralised computing. It will also allow VARs to analyse areas such as IT consolidation, performance and energy saving.
Allan Tyrrell, UK managing director of CDG Europe, said: “This event for resellers will educate on hot topics at the moment, for example virtualisation and green IT. People freeze at the words ‘carbon footprint’ so it will benefit VARs to understand how they can break it down more simply for customers.”
“With 60 attendees maximum the event will be more focused and hopefully the VARs can then act on what they’ve learnt. CDG is focused on bringing technologies to the reseller community that will help them tap into some of the fastest growing areas of IT investment,” he added.
Tyrrell explained that CDG will continue to grow organically in the UK for 2008 with plans for more vendors, VARs and internal growth through bringing its teams up to speed.
The event will be hosted by Peter Hoestra, chief executive of CDG Europe.
