Ingram Micro has bolstered its HP Enterprise storage team with the appointment of ex-Arrow ECS executive John Winney.
The distributor said Winney’s arrival signals its intent to grow in the enterprise market and said the new recruit was an expert in large-size storage solutions.
In his position as business development manager, Winney has been tasked with supporting the growth of HP Enterprise Storage products. He joins from rival distributor Arrow ECS and before that served stints at HDS and Dell.
Jon Bunyard (pictured), director of HP Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking for Ingram Micro, said: “John is a key element to support the growth we are seeing in our HP Server, Storage and Networking business. This is an area of the market where growth is accelerating, and Ingram Micro has the people and service capability to support our resellers and win them business.”
