Arrow ECS is touting new vendor signing Butterfly as a perfect foil for IBM storage resellers.
The distributor signed up to carry the vendor's Butterfly Analysis Engine product suite in October and claims the partnership has already translated into sales for its reseller partners.
Butterfly's agentless software is deigned to help firms plan the consolidation of backup and recovery infrastructures in complex environments.
Steve Pearce, managing director for Arrow ECS UK (pictured), said: "This innovative product enables our IBM resellers to enhance their offering and grow their storage sales while helping their customers migrate to an IBM archive infrastructure with minimal risk to their data.
"Efficient data-archive management is key to successful IT delivery. This tool helps customers target a problem that they often do not have the resources to tackle. It's a great proposition for our resellers."
Tom Hughes, chief sales officer for Butterfly Software, said: "We have an indirect sales model, so partnering with a leading distributor such as Arrow ECS is crucial as part of our go-to-market strategy."
