Comms distributor Nimans is making its first foray into cloud computing through the addition of startup vendor Akixi.
The Horley-based vendor, which makes hosted call management and contact centre reporting tools, has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Nimans. The Salford distributor will bundle Akixi's technology with Siemens hardware. End users can purchase the software-as-a-service offering – inclusive of multi-site reporting – on a pay-as-you-go monthly basis.
Akixi managing director Bart Delgado (pictured) claimed the addition of a well-known player like Nimans would give his firm's standing a shot in the arm.
"Nimans is one of the biggest and most respected names in UK distribution with a massive customer reach," he said. "We are delighted to be working with a high-profile player which is a perfect fit in our strategic blueprint for growth, generating many mutual benefits for ourselves, Nimans and, more importantly, our joint customers.
"Our products have been two years in development and we are delighted to be able to take them to the next level on a much bigger stage with Nimans."
