Start-up Cloud and Clear, a spin-off of VAR LuxTech, is looking to sign up 10,000 users to its all-inclusive cloud services offering.
The company was incorporated last month and will be staffed by 30 people, about 80 per cent of whom are set to be migrated from LuxTech. Mitchell Feldman, who joined LuxTech earlier this year, will serve as managing director. Cloud and Clear will focus on Microsoft and Google solutions and is projecting to turn over about £2.6m during its first year, said Feldman.
"[We are selling cloud services] at a fixed price, including the managed services and service desk; it is not just traditional outsourced email," he added.
Focusing on the SMB space, the central London-headquartered firm aims to sign up between 8,000 and 10,000 users during its first 12 months in the market.
"2010 was definitely the year of hype for cloud, this year is when it will come into its own and there will be substantial uptake," added Feldman (pictured).
Cloud and Clear is backed by venture capitalists and has ambitious growth plans. Feldman explained that its cloud-based business model would allow the VAR to expand the business quickly and easily.
"Once we have got the recipe right in the UK, then we will scale it internationally," he said. "Last week we had two enquiries from the US. We are going to be scaling quite quickly."
