Insight has launched a technical support service to accelerate take-up of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet PC among business users.
The device, which goes on sale today, is available exclusively from Insight for the next 60 days.
In support of its launch, the VAR is offering businesses that purchase one or more devices access to BlackBerry's Technical Support Services programme for a flat fee.
The initiative provides organisations with software support for the PlayBook and existing BlackBerry smartphone users.
Paul Bolt, marketing and partner management director for Insight, said the service should prove popular with business users.
"We have seen strong demand for the BlackBerry PlayBook ahead of the launch, and pre-orders are already on target to sell out," said Bolt.
"Customers are getting excited about the potential that tablets offer, and the integration with BlackBerry smartphones is a real plus point for business users."
