HP is hoping to speed up product delivery times with the launch of its latest channel quotation system.
The vendor claims the iQuote system offers regional product availability, price, promotions and incentives, and ensures order accuracy, with additional configurations and options available to help channel partners increase value-add.
HP’s system has been developed for its global channel network through an agreement with channelcentral.net – a specialist channel marketing company – which will configure and manage the iQuote tool, covering the server, storage, networking, software and services space.
It will also cover HP PCs, printers and supplies, as well as products from ISV partners. Access to the tool is available through HP distributors, which are required to buy a subscription from channelcentral.
They can implement iQuote as a standalone service or integrate it with existing e-commerce offerings.
Chuck Smith, vice president of business development, industry standard servers and software at HP, claimed the system would boost customer satisfaction.
“IQuote enables channel partners to provide fast, accurate quotes for improved customer satisfaction. The centrally managed platform also enhances channel partners’ ability to increase margins by attaching options and winning more business,” he said.
IQuote is available immediately to HP distribution partners in the US, Canada and EMEA. It will be rolled out in Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America early next year.
