Cisco is soon to unveil internal candidate Richard Roberts as its new UK and Ireland channel director, ChannelWeb understands.
Roberts currently serves as operations director for distributed government at the vendor. His LinkedIn page indicates that he has held this role for close to five years.
Prior to this he served Symbol Technologies as EMEA channel director and also held posts at vendors Watchguard and Riverstone Networks. In the late 1990s Roberts spent his first five-year spell at Cisco in a reseller-focused role.
He is set to replace Bernadette Wightman, who moved to a cloud-focused role in the US after three years in the UK channel hotseat.
Cisco declined to comment.
