Acquisitive security vendor Cryptzone has signed up distributor Altimate to help it build out its UK channel.
Following a string of acquisitions over the past 18 months, Sweden-based Cryptzone addresses the areas of policy compliance, content security, secure access and end-point security.
Altimate has been brought on board to develop work with existing UK partners and create a structured recruitment plan.
The vendor claims to have 150 partners globally.
Grant Taylor, vice president of sales for the UK and Ireland at Cryptzone, said: "Key reasons for appointing Altimate UK as Cryptzone's distributor are its proven track record in market creation and outstanding partner development capabilities. Over the past year Cryptzone has brought together a number of leading brands which we must now consolidate under the Cryptzone brand."
Altimate, whose UK business was formerly Codework, operates in eight European countries and Cryptzone hinted that the relationship could be rolled out on the continent.
Peter Davin, chief executive of the Cryptzone Group, said: "I am confident that this is the start of a strategic relationship with Altimate. This is the completion of a UK strategy that we have been implementing since 2009. As Altimate is a pan-European distributor, this opens up almost limitless possibilities for our partnership."
