Logicalis has added CA Technologies' automation software platform to boost its burgeoning private cloud offering.
The Slough-based integrator is taking on the CA Automation Suite for Clouds services platform after scouring the market for a suitable private cloud offering. The CA product aims to allow customers to optimise resource use and cut costs. Its billing platform also supports both fixed and usage-based pricing.
Chris Gabriel, marketing director at Logicalis UK, said: "Our strategy is to allow customers to think about the delivery of ICT services, not about managing an underlying cloud infrastructure. Further to a market place assessment, only CA Technologies has the same vision and ability to deliver solutions that enable this significant and important transition."
Roger Pilc, CA's general manager for virtualisation and automation, added: "Logicalis UK is at the forefront in offering cloud services to the FTSE 250 and public sector customers. The new offering, based on CA Technologies, will provide their customers with access to a market-leading solution. It manages private clouds across a broad combination of hardware and virtualisation technologies that customers already own, combined with innovative strategic advisory services, planning and rapid service delivery."
