Two-factor authentication (2FA) vendor CryptoCard has appointed e92plus after concluding its UK channel was sufficiently mature to support a second distributor.
The vendor, which operates in both the token and tokenless 2FA space, had worked exclusively through Wick Hill since 2007.
Adrian Jones, sales and marketing director Europe at CryptoCard said: "Last year we tidied up a few things. We launched a new partner programme, one price list and three levels of discount in the partner programme. Last year we did exceptionally well and Wick Hill did so well for us it got to the point we needed more distributors."
E92plus managing director Mukesh Gupta said the distributor will look to recruit a maximum of 10 resellers so as not to dilute the quality of leads it will pass to them.
"CryptoCard has a good cloud offering and is very scalable and easy for the channel to adopt," he said. "That is what we are helping them exploit.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Wick Hill – which has been a CryptoCard partner since 2007 – was unfazed by the arrival of another distributor. "I don't think there will be much crossover," he said.
