Former Salford Software boss James Doggart has popped up as chief executive of Google Apps reseller Cloud Technology Solutions.
Doggart, who led the University of Salford-owned VAR for more than seven years, announced in October last year that he was soon leave the firm, with Paul Beaumont arriving as his replacement. He has now been unveiled as the new boss of the Manchester-based cloud specialist.
A statement on Cloud Technology Solutions' website indicates that the firm has doubled sales in each of the past two years. The reseller claims to have moved more people to the cloud in the past six months than in the year and a half before that. Doggart has been charged with delivering more rapid growth.
"We are certainly seeing a lot more opportunity here in the UK, people are starting to see the real cost savings and collaborative benefits of the cloud. It's a really exciting time in IT," he added.
