Micro Peripherals (Micro-P) has signed a partnership deal with mobile accessories vendor Tech21 to distribute its entire product range to its UK market.
Tech21 specialises in impact protection solutions for a range of mobility products such as smartphones, tablets and laptops/MacBooks.
John Doughty, general manager of mobile for Micro-P, said: “Tech21 products provide impactology, extreme protection for tech devices, and Micro-P is excited to bring Tech21 products and messaging to the UK market. It will provide an exciting addition to our accessories portfolio.”
Doughty said some resellers are failing to grasp the opportunity presented in the accessories space. “Some resellers still see mobile accessories as headsets with curly wires, cheap USB cables and chargers. That is not what accessories are about.”
He urged resellers to push accessories as part of their initial sale. “There is a very good chance that the customer will go to one of the big high street retailers and make their purchases there,” he said. “Therefore the sensible approach is to treat accessories as part of a complete solution by carefully establishing the customer’s needs.”
Jon Rogers, UK country manager of Tech21, said: “Our mission is to provide the toughest possible impact protection for tech devices and we do it with passion, compassion and a single-minded focus.
“We found Micro-P a clear first choice and given its strength in retail and mobile distribution, it offers the perfect sales platform for the Tech21 range.”
