Amazon has launched the next version of its Kindle device, the Kindle Touch, to the UK market.
Priced at £109 for the Wi-Fi-only version and £169 for the 3G model, the Touch is available to pre-order from today and is expected to be shipped within the next month.
Both feature Amazon's EasyReach touch technology, have a 6in screen and weigh less than the average paperback, according to Amazon.
However, information is still not forthcoming on when the long-awaited Kindle Fire – mooted by market watchers as the greatest threat to Apple's tablet market dominance – will arrive in the UK.
