Former Just Lamps sales and marketing manager Simon Kitson has been recruited by Hotlamps as its European general manager.
According to Jon Sidwick, director for Europe at Hotlamps' parent company Maverick, Kitson will officially start on 9 July. He will be working with newly appointed UK country manager Waseem Ghos, who was formerly business manager of Hotlamps Europe.
"Kitson comes to us with deep experience of the lamp market and also of the audiovisual channel. Together with Ghos, we have a focused senior team who will be working closely with our vendors to ensure the best possible service levels and support for our customers," Sidwick said.
Kitson, who is believed to be on gardening leave, was approached for comment but had not responded at the time of writing.
As reported on ChannelWeb on 22 June, Kitson left Just Lamps after four years in the European sales and marketing manager position, where he has been replaced by multimedia specialist Richard Charge.
Hotlamps distributes projector lamps in 14 countries via the reseller channel. According to Sidwick, the business is growing.
