MTI-owned Global Secure Solutions (GSS) has become one of the first security VARs to bag certification for encryption vendor Becrypt's new partner programme.
GSS, which recently became a Silver partner of the government and MoD specialist, has achieved the vendor's certification for Enterprise End Point Protection, which forms part of the Platform for Success partner programme.
Launched in February, the programme was designed to help Becrypt partners work more closely together, as well as benefit from additional sales and technical expertise.
David Hobson, sales director at MTI/GSS, believes delivering expertise is important for partners in order to get the best products to its clients.
He said: "By extending our technical knowledge and expertise of Becrypt's products, we are now able to include implementation and service delivery, and so provide additional value to our clients' security infrastructure.
"MTI/GSS specialises in data security solutions, so it is important to us to be able to supply the very best products to our customers."
The growing sophistication of cybercriminals was cited by Bernard Parsons, Becrypt chief executive, as of key importance to partners.
He said: "As cybercriminals become ever more sophisticated, it is vital for organisations to maintain a robust security infrastructure.
"Increasingly, this requires specialist design and implementation, particularly when protecting government and citizen data."
