Ingram Micro is looking to grow its audiovisual (AV) and digital signage business after appointing Raj Pandya as its new head of AV.
The former senior account executive at Ingram rejoins the company after leaving in 1998 to begin a 12-year stint at Sony, where he most recently held the position of general manager of B2B channels.
Matt Sanderson, Ingram Micro's managing director, said Pandya's experience in AV will encourage growth at Ingram.
He said: "Raj has been brought on board to spearhead our drive in the growing AV and digital signage markets.
"[He] will lead the expansion of this business unit as we look to continue our investment into growth segments."
Prior to his time at Sony, Pandya held a variety of distribution roles within the channel.
He said: "I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity, having spent 12 years with a leading brand in the AV industry.
"I am looking forward to helping Ingram achieve its goals in this channel and look forward to cementing a leading position as the AV distributor of choice."
