A no-nonsense approach to the channel will be taken by the new head of commercial at Dixons-owned VAR Equanet.
Newly appointed Mark Garrett, who takes up the role which is the first of its kind, has 15 years of experience in the retail sector. He plans to expand the company's vendor relationships and business presence as well as continue to build the UK brand.
He will be responsible for marketing and commercial buying functions and developing partner relationships, along with growing the company's service and product range.
Garrett (pictured) said: "From a brand perspective, it is vital that Equanet is understood by customers and partners alike for the business it is and aspires to be."
Phil Birbeck, managing director of Equanet, said: "Mark will bring a no-nonsense and direct approach.
"He certainly will not be afraid to challenge the channel's tendency to promote product over customer and he will focus activities to ensure we deliver on Equanet's customer promise of being the best provider of IT solutions."
