Fujitsu continues to add bodies to its UK channel team, with former HDS regional sales director David Kennedy one of the latest arrivals.
The vendor has added 20 staff to its channel-focused team so far this year in a move it claims has translated into higher sales. In Q1, Fujitsu boasted a 7.3 per cent and seven per cent share of the commercial PC and commercial portable sectors in the UK respectively, according to IDC, up from 3.3 per cent and 1.5 per cent the year before.
It claims that sales of its PRIMERGY servers are also running 90 per cent up on last year.
In his role as enterprise sales manager, Kennedy (pictured) – who has also worked at Affiniti, BT and Computacenter – will cement ties with resellers focused on the corporate public sector and commercial markets.
