Bespoke application developer Geeks is looking to launch into the UK channel for the first time, offering software which it claims cannot be beaten on price even by offshore companies.
The London-based developer is offering a 25 per cent margin on its offerings for resellers, after claiming its M# technology reduces costs by three quarters, resulting in more money for partners. The company's website indicates that its client roster includes the BBC, Harrods and easyJet.
Paymon Khamooshi, Geeks' director, said the company can compete with offshore software developers because it does not use high-end brand-name technology.
He explained: "In India, for example, they only reduce costs by paying lower salaries; they use the same technology as anybody else.
"We use our M# technology and this is a real enabler. Indian software houses use mainstream technology and it takes them the same time as [UK] companies, but with overheads attached to this too.
"The lower-cost technology means we can introduce this [offer] with 25 per cent commission [for VARs], leaving 25 per cent for us and another 25 per cent in cutting of costs for clients. It is a win-win-win situation."
The development firm is looking for specialised resellers to sell its wares after deciding to focus on technology development instead of internal sales and marketing.
Khamooshi added: "Selling software development is not straightforward. You have to have deep understanding of the market. We are looking for companies with established customer relations who understand their requirements.
"We do not want to work with VARS who do not understand what customers need and get into complicated scenarios."
