VIP Computers' sales director Dave Stevinson has resigned his directorship with the distributor and is leaving today.
Keen real tennis player Stevinson (pictured) joined the Cheshire-based firm two years ago after working in various management roles for firms such as Edge10 Corporation, PGE Corporation and Teco Information Systems Europe.
He told CRN he would spend a few months relaxing and recharging his batteries before seeking a new assignment.
In a statement, Stevinson said: “I have completed my assigned strategic objectives and feel that I need to take on a new challenge.
“I have had two immensely enjoyable years at the company and feel that VIP is now suitably poised within the industry and blessed with a very capable management team. In my time there I was able to help shape an exciting strategic transition and work alongside some talented vendors, customers and colleagues.
“I would like to formally extend my thanks to my close friend and colleague Jatti Sahni, chairman of VIP Group, for giving me the opportunity to be part of the VIP journey.”
He added that he would like to thank his colleagues “for all the assistance, business, support, tolerance and friendship that they have shown to me over the years”.
