Micro-P has added to its fast-growing consumer electronics division with the appointment of a new general manger.
Caroline Hope has joined the distributor from rival Computer 2000, where she spent the past five years as consumer business development director.
Micro-P has strong aspirations for its CE division, which has seen growth of 137 per cent year on year.
Phil Brown, commercial director at Micro-P, explained: "Consumer electronics is a major focus area for Micro-P, and we are delighted that Caroline is bringing an established reputation and a wealth of industry experience to the business. We have experienced great success so far and Caroline’s appointment and dedicated focus will only add to our offering in this category.”
In a statement Hope said: "It is a real pleasure to join Micro-P at such an exciting time, with some excellent brands already on the portfolio. It’s a great opportunity to work with the team and continue to drive the growth, but also this gives me an opportunity to look for new and exciting brands to take to market.”
