Specialist distributor Varlink is looking for rugged smartphone market domination with its latest vendor partner signing.
The York-based distributor has inked a deal with Seals to supply its TS3 and VR7 ultra-rugged devices to its reseller base.
The TS3 runs on Android 2.3.6 OS and the VR7 runs on a Java-based OS and includes a two megapixel waterproof camera.
Mike Pullon, chief executive of Varlink, said: "The Seals devices not only provide us with another IP68 ultra-rugged option for our resellers, but also take us a step further into the smartphone market, differentiating our products from our competitors.
"Furthermore, the Seals devices are positioned at a competitive price and we look forward to offering our resellers an alternative option which doesn't compete with our current products and manufacturers."
