Fallen integrator 2e2 has made another tranche of redundancies, with administrator FTI confirming that 26 people were let go this morning.
Affected staff were reportedly called onto a conference call and informed that their employment was to be terminated, effective immediately. The additional layoffs take the number of UK staff to have departed the firm since it fell into administration on Monday to about 350, from a total of 1,442.
It is understood commercial services firm Payco will handle payment claims and grievances.
Sources indicate that staff shown the door today were deemed to not be involved in current or strategically important projects. One staff member indicated that those exiting the company will receive one week of pay for each year of service, with the upper limit set at £430 per week.
This morning FTI announced it had received "significant interest" from suitors interested in acquiring 2e2's UK business, and hopes to conclude a deal in the "very near term".
