Comparex is looking to bolster its sales might with the recruitment of a swathe of vendor-specialist sales staff, increasing its UK headcount by a third.

On top of this, three general sales staff will join the ranks in the coming months, bringing the total to 11.
The new sales staff will be specialists in Microsoft, Symantec, Citrix, VMware and Adobe, with the second wave of recruits to be assigned to Oracle and Igel Technologies, as well as new vendor partner Good Technology.
Comparex's UK managing director Mike Chambers said that the firm is trading with Good at the moment, and expects the details of the partnership to be completed imminently.
He said: "We have wanted to be their partner for a while, they are a good fit with what customers are looking for and we are looking to expand our offerings into BYOD."
Chambers added that bringing in the sales specialists will help show vendors Comparex's commitment.
He said: "Vendors invest a lot of time in us and spend endless hours helping and training us. This gives us the opportunity to have an individual head per vendor to really be a specialist. This helps us to do two things: spread knowledge more deeply within the sales force and show vendors we are investing in them from our side."
