Which vendors are falling behind on technical support?
Whose resellers feel they are drowning in technical accreditation demands?
Who needs to pull their socks up when it comes to the channel?
For the past nine months, CRN has been gathering detailed yet anonymous information from nearly 300 top UK resellers to obtain detailed scores and rankings on the UK’s 40 highest-profile vendors.
This is a first of its kind report that you will not see anywhere else in the market.
Vendors were ranked on five key aspects of service to the channel: product quality, account management and staff, accreditation and training, after-sales and technical support and overall service.
For example, on product quality, vendor scores ranged from 92 per cent down to 67 per cent, with one vendor’s products being described as ‘horrible and plasticky’.
On accreditation and training, the lowest scoring vendor scraped 54 per cent and the best 78 per cent, with many accreditation demands described as too costly and time-consuming for very little return.
Even more concerning – one unfortunate vendor scored just 46 per cent reseller satisfaction on the issue of rebate and margin retention.
The report also scores and ranks each vendor on demand generation and funding and on commitment and leadership in the channel.
So how did you do in the report?
Did you even make the top 40?
There is only one way to find out.
