Westcoast has come good on its promise to break into the office supplies distribution market, by appointing a dedicated division manager.
Damon Pickard has been brought on board as office products projects manager to build and develop the new proposition. It anticipates having products on board within three months.
Pickard has worked at outfits such as WHSmith, Argos and BrightHouse and more recently as head of category management for office products reseller Euroffice.
Alex Tatham, sales and marketing director at Westcoast, said: "Damon brings a host of experience, from appropriate vendors to price points and marketing to our ever-growing business. I am thrilled to welcome him to our team and am ecstatic about our foray into office products wholesale distribution. IT distribution is so efficient and we look forward to bringing our enthusiastic brand of distribution to this market.
He added: “We are already the UK’s leading electronic office supplies distributor, so adding some extra SKUs to our existing customers’ orders will be our first goal. Damon is just the man to help us with this.”
Pickard added: “I am delighted to be joining such a passionate company and look forward to engaging with OP vendors and customers alike."
