Avnet Technology Solutions has won another big reseller supply tender, snaring Computacenter's pan-European VMware business for the next 12 months, CRN has learned.
According to sources, the annual deal, which covers the UK, France and Germany, is worth a projected €40m (£32m) to the distributor over the next 12 months.
Avnet TS already supplied VMware to Computacenter in Germany but has now also won preferred supplier status in the UK and France off incumbent Arrow.
The UK chunk of the deal is thought to be worth about £14m.
Graeme Watt, president of Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA, would not comment other than to say the duo enjoy a "strong growing partnership".
"As a policy [we] do not disclose details of our business together unless we both agree it is in our interests to make a comment," he said.
Unlike other big VARs/integrators, Computacenter spreads its supplier tenders across the year rather than conducting one for all vendors in one go. Oracle and networking & security equipment are next up on the London listed giant's agenda, one source said.
Avnet's victory comes just a month after it celebrated significant gains in Kelway's annual supplier tender, tying up the VAR's business with NetApp, Red Hat and VCE, among other vendors.
Computacenter declined to comment, as did VMware.
