Former Morse exec Mark Nutt has been promoted by Symantec to vice president of EMEA partner management as the vendor looks to grow its footprint further in the region.
In his new role, Nutt will lead a team that ensures Symantec's partner programmes and investments deliver value to the channel, reward profitable growth and make it easier for VARs to do business with the vendor.
Nutt originally joined Symantec in 2011 to run the EMEA strategy and sales operations organisation, and before that was general manager at VAR Morse, which was bought by 2e2 in 2010.
In a statement Nutt said: "Symantec is more committed to partners and distributors than ever before. It is vital that we enable partners to deliver superior value to customers and that, in turn, we demonstrate our commitment to directly supporting our channel partners’ business growth.
"I am delighted to be playing a role in defining and implementing our new channel strategy.”
