SecureData has welcomed in a cloud services director to lead its newly created cloud services team.
Marty Legg, who joins the security firm from Alternative Networks, will be tasked with integrating security and networking products into its cloud strategy to better help customers manage their IT.
He will also lead SecureData's cloud surveillance team, which uses the cloud and data analytics to assess security risks – something the firm hopes will bring in a flurry of new business opportunities.
SecureData chief executive Etienne Greeff said the cloud will play a big part in his company's future, meaning Legg's role will be important.
"Developing our cloud capabilities is one of our key strategies for enabling a complete security approach to assess risk, detect threats earlier, protect valuable assets and respond quickly when there is a breach," he said.
"Marty brings a wealth of experience that will enable us to accelerate the transition of our capabilities to the cloud and offer customers options for how they consume core security services."
