Denise Bryant has re-emerged on the distribution scene with a new role at Arrow ECS as director of enterprise sales.
Last year Bryant resigned from her role as sales director at Avnet Technology Solutions, seven months after Magirus – which she headed up as UK managing director – was acquired by the distribution giant in 2012.
Speaking to CRN, Bryant (pictured) said: "This role is playing to all my strengths as Arrow is becoming much more market-led and I'm going to aligned to partners rather than to vendor silos. We can act as a catalyst for partners for growth and this is a great learning curve for me."
She added that she had spoken to Arrow in late December, so things had moved quickly.
"I had a fantastic relationship with Avnet and honoured my six-month period after I left, but I'm very excited about this new position," she said. "I still think distribution is a fantastic market to play in because it is changing so much."
Her new role includes managing a team of 10, but Bryant said her first aim is to get out and meet partners.
"I want to be meeting with partners and finding out what they want distribution to do for them and what it should be doing better than it is today," she said.
