Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its pan-European distribution arrangement with Ingram Micro, adding SSD and solid-state hybrid drives (SSHDs) to the HDD portfolio.
Otto Hinteregger, general manager for sales distribution at Toshiba, hinted that the deal was in response to customer demand.
"The company is one of Europe's leading distributors and will help satisfy market demands," he said.
Ingram has 90,000 resellers on its books across Europe. They will now be able to choose from Toshiba's enterprise and consumer SSD and SSHDs, enlarging on a previously existing arrangement around HDDs, to offer the Japanese OEM's entire range of storage products.
According to a PR statement released by the distributor, Toshiba is a key vendor for certain of its business segments, such as components and systems.
