Logicalis has appointed channel big hitter Tony Brooker as its new UK sales and marketing chief.
Brooker will assume a role as the integrator's UK sales director on 4 August. He left a post as EMEA sales vice president at Insight in November, prior to which he has held senior sales posts at firms including SCC, Systemax, Cancom, and MicroWarehouse during a 30-year IT career.
"For me, Logicalis' customer centric approach is exactly what the industry needs and I'm looking forward to rolling up my sleeves to help further enhance its sales execution, growth strategy and its competitive advantage in the marketplace," said Brooker.
The new sales supremo becomes Logicalis second senior appointment so far this year, after former Fujitsu exec Richard Aston joined the firm in March in the newly created role of vice president of services. The Cisco, HP, and IBM partner claims the two new recruits form part of a wider "continued investment in skills across the business".
UK managing director Mark Starkey said: "Organisations need to adapt at an accelerated pace to keep up with constant changes in technology and services, and Logicalis remains committed to ensuring its teams consist of the industry's most capable professionals to support end-users in this evolution. Tony is renowned for being a passionate and driven sales leader and I'm more than confident he has what it takes to drive our sales teams forward."
