Vendor FireMon has released a report claiming intelligence-based management of network firewalls can achieve a return on investment (ROI) in 12 months.
The research, conducted by TechValidate, showed that 54 per cent of all FireMon customers reported 100 per cent ROI on their investment in 12 months or less.
Jody Brazil, FireMon's chief executive, told CRN that the research will enable security resellers to push a positive message about security.
"This research identifies an opportunity for the channel to assist their customers to reduce their overall costs of managing their network security infrastructure," he said.
FireMon is a firewall management vendor founded in 2004 and its headquarters are in Kansas.
"The report shows improving efficiencies in security operations can reduce your overall security costs and effective change management is a key driver in operational efficiency," Brazil said.
"What FireMon does is help identify and remediate complexities of firewall configurations to improve operational efficiency of change management and reduce costs in the process in order to achieve ROI," he said.
