Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner Smart421 has claimed it is able to offer customers ‘unheard of' levels of support after splashing out on enterprise-level Premium support for AWS.
In the past, Smart421 offered what is known as business support, but after investing "significantly", it can now offer its customers the upgraded version.
The Premium offering allows Smart421 to provide customers first-contact support response times as rapid as 15 minutes. Customers plumping for this offering are able to receive support around the clock.
The reseller's head of marketing Joseph Spear told CRN he knows of no other company in the UK offering this level of support and said the amount it spent on the support was not small.
"This sort of stuff is unheard of," he said. "The price to access that is significant, and it was a significant investment from us. We're passing on that benefit to our customers. We want to put our customers out there in first position."
He said offering the top-level of support sets Smart421 apart from its rivals.
"It helps us take some counter measures against the competitive threat we see in the channel," he said.
"Are we scared of [competitors]? No. Are we bothered about what they're doing? We're watching what they're doing, but we're not bothered about what they are doing. And the reason we are not bothered about that is we are progressing with our partner strategy - it is planned, it is sustained and it is growing."
