Security intelligence vendor LogRhythm has appointed Deborah Dodson as its senior director for EMEA channels and alliances.
Dodson joins having held roles at Cisco, Bay Networks and most recently Hewlett Packard Aruba, where she was channel sales director. She replaces Stuart Quinsey who left LogRhythm to join Cylance.
LogRhythm's EMEA managing director Ross Brewer told CRN last month that the vendor would soon be appointing an EMEA "leader" as it looked to increase its European partner base, a sentiment that Dodson echoed.
"I would like to see that we've got a depth and breadth of partners across the EMEA region," she said.
"We've always had quite a balanced portfolio across the channel community. We've always worked with those traditional security resellers and as Ross mentioned before we're also seeing increased interest from some of the larger systems integrators, and obviously we're very keen to engage with them."
Despite the increased interest for larger partners, Dodson insisted that LogRhythm will not turn its back on the small and medium-sized partners whom she said have been key to the vendor's growth since its inception in 2003.
She added that she is looking at "evolving" the LogRhythm partner programme along with the other regional directors, but that it is too early for her to announce any material changes.
"What we look for in partners is that ability to take a consultative approach because we have a very rich product portfolio and we need partners that can go and have a consultative conversation with a customer about what they're looking for," she said.
