Ambitious specialist distributor DMSL has cut the ribbon on a new office near Stansted Airport as it looks to boost business with two of its key vendors.
Initially six new staff will work at the Thremhall Park office with the remit of driving partner recruitment and sales for Virgin Media Business' ultra-fast broadband and also Vonage's cloud-based voice services.
The firm was appointed an official Virgin Media Business partner in March this year and has already helped it to smash its channel targets.
DMSL's Romford-based HQ will continue to house its main sales operation.
John Carter, managing director of DMSL, said: "It is a very exciting development and we will have a whole support package for new partners in the form of training and marketing support."
He said the move also enables the distributor to keep its new supplier business apart from its legacy BT-centric sales and subscription renewals sales.
"We have got off to an excellent start with both Virgin Media Business and Vonage - we have already recruited many partners and started to see sales ramping up. But the potential is much bigger and the opening of the new location is a sign of our commitment to them, extending our reseller networks and growing their business."
"With solutions such as those offered by Vonage and Virgin Media Business, it is very much a partnership between the supplier, DMSL and the reseller," Carter added. "Many situations will require a site visit and some hands-on advice and assistance; that's why we need resellers that are local to the customer. No supplier can realistically reach the whole potential market without a reseller network."
On top of recruiting resellers from its new office, DMSL also said it would be looking to extend partnerships to industry groups and federations.
