CCS Media saw revenue top £100m in H1 after implementing a new flexible working environment for employees, according to deputy MD James Hardy.
The reseller saw H1 revenue jump 29 per cent year on year to £109m, which Hardy (pictured) said puts the firm on track to surpassing £200m in revenue this year.
He added that the company's success was down to increasing its headcount, investing in its employees and adopting an "agile" working environment for them.
"[Employees] have the option to work from one of our 18 offices, work from home, or a mixture of the two, [and this] is adding great value for our employees," Hardy said.
"We've just made the biggest investment we've ever made in technology to do that, so every employee gets a mobile device and I think that is increasing the engagement that employees feel in our company.
"Our philosophy is that people make the place and we need to do whatever it takes to empower them to support our customers. Happy employees equals happy customers."
Hardy said the flexible working environment has been in place since the start of the year and feedback has been "extremely positive".
He also claimed that the number of customers trading with CCS is up, along with customer spend having increased by 24 per cent. Headcount rose by 20 per cent to 491, Hardy said, while revenue per employee rose over 10 per cent. The firm also opened a third sales training academy in Romford last year.
"It's essentially making an investment in our people," Hardy added.
"Trust is an important thing and you have to be able to trust the people within your organisation and invest in them, so they have the best experience within their working day as possible. That experience then cascades out of the organisation to our customers and to the way we work with our partners.
"We believe passionately that to build a great organisation, you must invest in the empowerment of [its] people. It is only when the people in our business are collectively successful that the business will achieve any of its goals."
Hardy said each employee at CCS has their own career path, which management helps them to progress.
"More people isn't just about recruiting more people, it's about employee retention and being a better organisation for our employees to grow in," he said.
