Career so far Still the three organisations in the IT industry, Northamber, Bell Microproducts and Vohkus, performing various functions in the different companies, from sales, sales management, marketing, product management, and now the commercial & marketing director at Vohkus.
Do you care about green IT? Be it green IT or green living, yes would be my immediate reaction as both in a commercial function as well as in private life it is both important and essential.
If you could be in a rock/pop band, which one would it be and who would you be? As being a lifelong follower of David Bowie, I would have loved to be part of his band, definitely not singing, as the voice is not that tuneful.
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? The simple ones where it is a pie and a pint.
Has 2009 been as bad as everyone said it would be? 2009 was only as bad as organisations wanted it to be. If you kept your head down and put in the effort to get the sales, 2009 was better than expected.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? We continued this year with vendors looking at the past to justify as opposed to engaging with the channel to create new opportunities.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2010? Moving in the same direction with partners (vendors) in the industry, as opposed to fighting for the same slice of the pie.
What is the best part of your day? It has always been the early morning before the rush of telephone calls and meetings.
