Do you care about green IT? Absolutely. It’s on the agenda for everything we do no matter how small or trivial. We should all take this very seriously.
If you could be in a rock/pop band, which one would it be and who would you be? Music’s not really appealing to me but with the looks and money that Robbie Williams has, I am sure that must be a good position to be in.
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? Skiing in Whistler, Canada is right up there with the best.
Has 2009 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It’s certainly been very challenging, that’s for sure. But our revenues and profits have significantly increased on last year so it’s not been as disastrous as it could have been.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, we saw the writing was on the wall for a lot of companies that hadn’t planned well for financial climate issues and they have subsequently paid the price for that.
What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2010? There will be a lot of consolidation in the channel next year and there’s bound to be sceptical individuals trying to convince everyone that we will still be in deep recession when we’ll be well on our way out of it. My view is roll the sleeves up and keep looking out of the box for the next challenge and opportunity.
What is the best part of your day? It has to be after the suit is off, the bath is run and I’ve had the first taste of red wine. There’s almost no better feeling.
